Ta da!
Wow. Our office feels so small now. =/

97- SHIRLEY!

Still not that great of a picture. But this is 'Shirley'. I see her everyday on my way to work. Trooper. Through the summer heat and the winter cold, she's out a walkin'. I can usually base how late I'm going to be to work that day on where she is located on Nall when I pass her. :) And after seeing her everyday, I felt like in my brain I needed something to call her by. Hence, 'Shirley'.

Onward 96th day...

Watched a movie with Kodi tonight (after a nice long skype with Sarah!)

Pretty good I do have to say. I would recommend it.

Until next time...

'The Mystery Of Christmas'

Went to see this with my friend Melinda. It was supposed to be the gospel presentation loosely based on 'The Nutcracker'. It started off pretty okay. It was about the time the 9 month prego Mary was dancing around and the angel ninja fought off the demon ninjas that it was not as entertaining. We left at intermission...

Until next time...

94

In response to monday's post, this van makes it's proclimation:

'Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks'
I disagree. A more accurate statement would be 'Friends don't let friends drink Starbucks alone'. =D

Until next time...

Day 93

Substitute picture of the day:

I painted this myself... In a previous life.
Tonight at trek we made some gift baskets with fruit and cookies and such to take to some of the older and widowed folks in our church. I had a great time with my group as we visited two different people. It was obvious that our visits were much appreciated, and at the second home, it was very clear that she didn't want us to leave. Sometimes, we get so wrapped up in our own lives that we don't make time to sit down and have those conversations with people. You can learn some really interesting things. And make someone else's day.

Until next time...

Day 92

May I introduce... 'Shirley'!:

Where is she?

Apparently I'm a little too slow. Or Shirley doesn't show up in photographs. Stay tuned to learn more about Shirley!

91 Days

I don't know what's worse, someone's nasty smelling tuna for lunch, or the fumes from the construction. So:

So this is how you counteract those smells. Put some pleasant smelling lotion on your nose and bury it down deep. I was told though that that's what they did on silence of the lambs to cover the smell of dead people. Hmm.

Until next time...

Day 90

Just another monday. Went to the bucks, but didn't get a picture, so:

Necessary for Mondays

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

I think the angel had a little too much to drink.

Day 88

Lazy saturday. Didn't do much of anything, but did go to my aunt and uncle's house to play some games. I think they wanted to practice their Settlers of Catan so they can beat Nina at Christmas (That's right, Nina! We're takin' you down!!) It was lots of fun and go figure, I won! Granted, it took trading a smile for a brick with my mom. Such a good mom! ;)

Settlers!

Fuego! Day 87

Day after Thanksgiving and I had to work. No problem though. I wore my pj's and turned on some Christmas music! It was about lunch time when the fire alarms started going off. I assumed there was probably not really a fire. I mean... all those fire drills and never once have I been in a real fire! So imagine my surprise when there was smoke in the halls!

They call me the fireman, yeah that's my name.

Post smoke, post evacuation. Hello firemen! Well, all is well with the office now and I still have a place of work on monday morning.

Until next time...

A day to be thankful! Day 86

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Hope you had an excellent day. I had a day full of food, family and games. But maybe one of my favorite moments was this:

You can't even see Emmitt, the book is so big!
Emmitt so sweetly asked if I would read him 'Skippyjon-jons' as he calls it.

Me and my little cowboy! :)

Much to be thankful for!

Until next time...

One month til Chrismas eve!! Yeah!!

More tacky office decorations:

What the world.
Please don't make an innocent Santa into a money hungry business man. Please.

Until next time...

Day 84

Just another day in paradise. I drew a lovely little face on Stacie's orange today.

Even the orange man was grumpy.
Also- Even the orange man suffers from male pattern baldness!

ALSO- Got to go out with some friends to a new Greek restaurant. We had sooo much fun, and ate waaayyy too much!!

Symposium of ecstasy. Yum.
Good friends. Good food. Good memories.

Until next time...

Day 82

Doggie sitting! Good times. These girls are super sweet, and VERY affectionate. I cuddled up for a while on this lazy sunday afternoon with the girls and watched a movie:

Annie

Belle getting TOO friendly

Well even if they don't understand personal space, they still are adorable!

Until next time...

81 days! Wowza!

Fail! I totally didn't get a picture today. Sheesh. Went to Emporia with Sarah for a friends bridal shower. This is the best I can do:

Even went to the young adults progressive dinner. Wow. Miserable fail. But the good thing is: I never said that the picture of the day would be one that I took with my own camera! Score!

Until next time...

80!! Woot woot!

A little back story:
So I watched an episode of 'Criminal Minds' with Kodi the other day. It was creepy, some woman would kidnap young women and drug them to paralyze them so she could pretend like they were her dolls and have tea parties with them:

Scene from that episode

So now when I see dolls, I think of that creepy episode. Today, I recieved payment from a customer and this giant sticker was on the back:

Creepy- nightmares!

One collectors item I don't understand.

Until next time...

Day 79

What a crazy day. A little stressful, and mostly frustrating. I didn't get any pictures, but this is what came up when I googled 'frustration':

Seemed appropriate for today.

Youth group issues.

&* (78)

Went to see the 'rubber' today. As my co-worker creepily calls chiropractors.

Because nothing more exciting happened today:

Dr. Woodle

Is it creepy that I included my chiropractor in my blog? You decide.

Until next time...

Woman Night!!

I really like my friends. How fortunate for me!! ;) we got together and had a little cheese and wine. It was wonderful and relaxing.

76ers

Monday, Monday...

Monday's are no fun because they begin a new week of work. Monday's are not fun because I have to reception. Bleh. Today I went over at my usual time of 11:30, but the girl who I cover for 'forgot' that that was the time that I come over on monday's (though it's the time that she told me to come over and it's the same time I come over every monday, and have come for the last year and a half.) <--- Sheesh. I'm not irritated or anything. Well she had an appointment at 1pm. So she thought if she just went early, they could get her in. So... more than two hours later, she finally showed back up (from her one hour lunch) and hadn't even gotten what she went for. Frustrating for everyone involved. But while answering phones today, I talked to a guy with a thick accent who told me his name is Gollum. No joke. I thought it was a crank call. So in honor of him:

Hello, this is Gollum, may I please speak to Frodo...

And since I failed a little at the picture taking business today, you get two stand in pictures!

I also received a phone call from Scranton Pennsylvania!

'Beets, Bears, Battlestar Galactica...."

Until next time...

The days of 73-75

SDYC!

Well folks. It was an interesting one. I was personally very excited for the speaker and theme (and the always awesome worship). I struggled a little more than anticipated with some irritation/frustration. High highs, low lows. But we shan't discuss that now. Our speaker was Chris Simning and our theme was 'Uncommon'. Theme verse was 1 Corinthians 1:26-27:
"Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong."

Awesome verses that just happened to be Chris' life verses. He suffers from a form of palsy but has managed to overcome the odds and has even started a ministry called www.obscureministries.com.

Anyway, here are some pictures I snagged along the way:

TOUR BUS!! Seniors and I in the RV on the way

Worship

The speaker Chris.

Ben and Jake. These guys are crazy. But awesome.

Bekah at the salon

Beth gettin' her nails 'did'

Allison's getting some fun layers

Oh bekah.

Hot stuff! Becky with new cut and straight hair

More worship (it's not all just play time!)

These girls are awesome! Group hug!

Trying to blow down Allison's creation during free time.

The whole group, packed up and headed home!

Well, I hope that was at least a small glimpse into our weekend. :)

Until next time...

Seven and two

Tonight at Trek we talked about the heart. It was only then appropriate that we play hot potato with a real heart. Don't worry, Kyle didn't bring it from 'the home'. It was a beef heart:

Bekah just wanted to hold it.

The circle of heart tossers. I got out pretty fast. Darn.

I made brownies!! Dark chocolate peanut butter. Yum.

Waiting to cut them.

Seventy!!

Another wonderful piece of office art work:

10 points to whomever can name everything on this picture.

I'll give you some help: The green thing is not cucumber. It's a sour sop.

There was much discussion around the office as to what it was. Thank goodness that mystery is solved. I can sleep at night now. Except that I'm still a little baffled about why random pictures were added for a while every couple days...

Until next time...

69

Update to Friday's blog:

A.) Notice the pile of envelopes that I have stuffed with invoices. Long story short: It's all I did today. I'm pooped. That's probably only half of the stack. It was quite the process to get them to that point.

B.) In the background you will notice that there are no longer even desks left. People were there measuring and comparing blue prints. I can hardly wait for construction. For real, I won't get anything done. I'll just watch the whole time. Also, Stacie asked me today if we each get to take our alloted swing at the wall. I told her I probably wouldn't be able to stop at one. :)

Until next time...

Oh 68.

Oh Willa. How adorable and cuddly and drooly you are!

Willa!

Got to connect group a little early and was first to snag her ;) You know, had to keep her out of momma's hair so she could finish dinner. I just adore this drooly, giggly little girl. I think she has our whole group (and entire family) wrapped around her little finger.

Until next time...

Saturday makes it 67

My poor puppy. I noticed over the last few days that my dog, Keegan, had been licking his foot. Odd. Not that he would be licking anything, but that he would choose his foot over his boy parts. Oh, don't act like it's all that weird. He's a dog, remember?! They do that.

Well, we took him to the vet. He knows the vet. He doesn't like the vet. We were waiting for the vet to come into the room where we were waiting, and I think Keegan was a little scared:

He just hid behind us.

Found out that his do claw (sp?) had gotten caught on something and the nail had been half ripped of. So he had to be put down. Just kidding. He was only temporarily down for the little surgery. He's just fine now for any who care.

Until next time...
